About Time...to get groovy!!!!

Hey everyone :) Okay so I don't think that I posted what I was doing for the summer, but a month ago when school let out I was totally bored outta my mind because there was nothing to do and there was so much TV you can watch. But this month (July) is different because I finally got a JOB!!!!! And its my first job ever and I really like it. I work for a PR company called Collective Concept PR and the people there are very nice and my boss, Garnett, she is just awesome :D Having this job let me experience new things such as blogging. I had never blogged before and at first I was kind of nervous because I had no idea what to write about but as the days passed I got more comfortable blogging (I'm actually enjoying it now), I'm not an expert but I'm getting better :) So anyways the other day me and my collegues went to this boutique on Franklin Ave (in Brooklyn) called About Time and let me tell you they had the most amazing t-shirts EVER!! Well, okay most of the t-shirts were made for guys, which I was a little sad about because these shirts were really cool...I guess I need to have a new style...the tomboy kind lolzzz :P Well they did have this girl t-shirt with Lincoln on it that I totally fell in love with :D Check it out! Oh and by the way most of these shirts are from the Krow Hill fashion line :) Enjoy!

And not only do they sell awesome t-shirts they also sell cool looking hats. Check out Calvin wearing one of them ^_^

Michael Jackson Memorial

Okay so I went to abc.com to watch the michael jackson memorial on time at 10:00, but what i didnt realize was that the memorial was running on California time and I was in New York... -.-...Needless to say, even the private procession did not even start when I logged on. Oh wells, guess I'll just have to wait a bit...oh and by the way the memorial is such a HUGE event that the police blocked off several of the freeways and highways. Can you imagine the traffic??!! R.I.P Michael Jackson

Afropunk Block Partaaaaaaayyyyy!!!!!!!

So like the city is a big place and if you mosy around enough, you can find lots of interesting things to do in this mammoth of a metropolitan. If some of you guys don't have anything to do, like me, and are bored out of youur mind, I suggest that you hop on a train to Brooklyn and come to the Afropunk Block party. I heard that its gonna be off the hook!!! There's gonna be live music, DJs, DIY fashion, craft and food vendors. The block party is on Sunday July 12th on Clinton Ave, between Myrtle and Willoughby. There's gonna be performers such as Jon Forte, Maiysha, Shinobi Ninja (hahahaha get it? Ninja Ninja since Shinobi means ninja in japanese....lolz if you ask me he should have called himself "Ninja squared") and lots more! So come on by, I mean at the very least you buy a couple of cool looking t-shirts ansd you get to see a really great show :)

4th of July and Poker ^_^

Hey everybody, yesterday our country celebrated yet another great independence day. The night was alive with fireworks, fireworks, and fireworks. There was so many of these great kaboomers that a person outside the country wouldn't think that America was going to a recession. I mean seriously, America spent millions of dollars worth of fireworks for a half an hour show. What recession?? lolzzz

Anyways, can somebody say ma ma ma p-p-poker p-p-poker face? Yesterday was the first time I ever played poker, and let me tell you it was really FUN!!! Of course I lost on the first round, but that was because i wasn't playing seriously and I bet all my chips (oh by the way we were betting chips and not real money, no waaaay was i even playing if there was real money involved) on the first round and I ended up losing... T_T...and needless to say my sister who also played poker for the first time ended up winning!!!!! Darn her!!!! But i was kinda happy because while everyone else was playin, i was eating cookies and lamb chops (which were VERY yummy :D)

More michael jackson t-shirts!!!!

Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson was probably one of the most controversial figures in history, from turning white to touching little kids private parts or covering his children's faces with masks and scarves. However, there is no question that he was a great musician and that his songs are legendary. One of my favorite memories of him was when he was doing one of his concerts and because the dude had had a million nose jobs, one of his noses fell off on the stage during his performance. I was watching the concert on the telly and i was rolling, cuz it was so freaking hilarious. Then there was the time when he put a scarve on his baby and held him over the balcony so that all the newspaper headlines were screaming Wacko Jacko. Yea those were the days...R.I.P Michael Jackson We'll all miss you, if not for the music then at least for the drama.

In memory of Michael...
there was this great t-shirt that i came across in About Time Boutique, and the good part is that there's more than one type of michael shirt :)
